How to remove chewing gum from clothes?
Chewing gum on clothes is a real pain – it can be difficult to remove. Furthermore, using the wrong methods can result in a permanent stain or even damage to the fabric. Don't worry! We've got some tips for removing chewing gum from clothes easily and safely . Below are our tried-and-true methods:
- Freezing the clothing should help remove the gum. We recommend this method if the stain is more severe. However, remember not to overdo it – 2-3 hours is sufficient . Low temperatures are also harmful to clothing fibers, so it's worth taking this into account. After this time, the gum will become hard and easier to scrape off.
- Is your gum stain on your clothing less severe? Use an ice cube and rub the area you want to clean for several minutes. Then proceed as in the previous tip – simply gently try to scrape the gum off the fabric.
- Low temperatures aren't the only way to remove chewing gum from clothes. Another way to combat this stain is to use an iron . First, set the temperature of the iron to a level no higher than the recommendations on the garment's inner label and turn off the steam. Then, place a piece of parchment paper over the gum and run the iron over it several times.

How to remove resin stains from clothes with oil? Simply apply it to the stain, for example, with a cotton bud. If necessary, any remaining oil can be removed with a 1:3 vinegar and water mixture. Simply gently wipe it away with a cotton pad.
- This method works for both rubber and resin stains. You've probably guessed that we'll be presenting a trick for removing resin from clothing with an iron . Just like with rubber, simply cover both sides of the stain with baking paper or, alternatively, use a cotton cloth. Then, heat the iron to the maximum temperature indicated on the garment's inner label and gently move the iron over the stain (several times). After this process, the stain should disappear. However, remember that not all fabrics respond to this method, so read the ironing instructions on the inner label before proceeding. Now that you know how to remove resin from clothing, let's move on to the next tips!
